Thank you for visiting my new site! As it's just posted (April 17, 2019) it is still being revised and expanding.
Apparently, my artistic bent was recognized in kindergarten, courtesy of a drawing done with 'purple crayon' (...though it was not publicized as was "Harold and The Purple Crayon" :-)....
That led to 'art class' with an old woman in a large green Victorian house, where I actually rented studio space, 5 decades later! That perception has continued to be in spite of repeated changes in focus: an effort to find a "practical" way to make a living.
Throughout, the goal has been to improve as an artist, while seeking employment in a variety of artistically oriented professions. My studies have continued: at SUNY/Purchase College, Art Students League, Teachers College/Columbia and years of private workshops with a variety of well-know artists.
Work as a Decorative Artisan with architects and designers led to the Collaborative Arts Programs with at-risk youth, veterans and aging populations.
Those programs continue, as does my fine art studio work, which includes commissions doing portraits of pets, people (and pears). A plethora things beginning with the letter P.
